GORDEN FARMS was the scene of a very active St. Patricks day during Spring Break 2003.
The temperature was 75 degrees and the sun was shining, when the MILLER
boys arrived at THE FARM . What a day, a new calf was born just before they arrived and required
tagging. Make that attempted tagging. Grandpa will have to get him and his mother in a stall at the barn. We were no match
for this guy in the mud. One for the calf.
We put a couple of hours on the SIX wheel drive, go anywhere Polaris Ranger. We checked out the cattle and horses, flushed
up 3 or 4 groups of pheasants and looked for deer. Ryan found a big bone from a deer, but we were unable to spot any
moving deer this warm spring day. He thinks we should look again when it's colder or when the corn and beans are growing and
they come over to eat. He told Erik and Trevor grandpa said that's why he and grandma hunt the deer.
